Our History
The managers of Innerwork Mortgage, Rusty Mendoza and Dustin Sheppard, met when working as loan officers for Big Valley Mortgage outside of Sacramento, CA in 2002. Four years later they decided to become partners and start their own business. In 2006 they proudly opened Innerwork Mortgage. Justin Johnson, who had been working with Rusty since 2004, also joined the team. They had a small office space perfect for the three of them. Shortly after the opening of Innerwork Mortgage the subprime mortgage crisis and credit crunch hit. Innerwork Mortgage was able to successfully navigate this market shake up due to the fact that they had always originated quality loans and focused largely on purchase transaction finance.
In 2010 when Innerwork Mortgage aligned with Fairway Independent Mortgage as a retail branch they relocated and expanded into a larger business model and space. The move to FIMC as a corporate partner was based largely on the alignment of mutual belief surrounding costumer service. Innerwork Mortgage with the support of FIMC, serves the client and the loan officer. "It is a win/win for everyone!" Sheppard says. "As a company we believe we have three clients: the borrower, the real estate agents and the loan officers. It is our job to create a platform for loan officers of excellent customer service that cannot be matched. We do this using highly effective internal communications; "state of the art" systems infrastructure supported by leading experts with-in our strong corporate partnership."
Today, Innerwork is recognized by Fairway Independent Mortgage Corp. as one of their top branches. Within FIMC. Innerwork Mortgage demonstrates consistently how a successful branch works for every one. They believe that success does not happen by accident, but instead via deliberate steps and systems designed and refined to ensure results for both clients and employees.
